Lots of big guns took to the IFA floor today to show off their new wares. Whilst Sony hogged the limelight yesterday, today has seen pretty much everyone else claiming to be the best. We've had a look at the day's events and thought we'd share the highlights with you.

There's been a video on the Dyson website recently in which members of the public are shown a mystery object off-screen and the camera picks up their reactions; cue gasps of astonishment and wonder. It turns out that the mysterious gadget is James Dyson's new bladeless fan, already installed into his latest vacuum cleaners and now unleashed to the general public as a stand-alone fan for the home.

Receiving a vacuum cleaner for Christmas wasn't originally my idea of a great gift and, if I'm honest, I thought it was a bit pointless. Perhaps having only used it yesterday for the first time since the big day kind of proves my point - and also my hygiene standards. However, the cleanliness of my abode isn't the issue here - the Dyson DC25 Animal is.

Will somebody please vote this odious little man out of Parliament?
