Mattell have long been at the forefront of toys, owning rights to all the big guns - Barbie, Fisher-Price, Disney and for those of you of a certain age, the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe range. Altogether now; "I HAVE THE POWER!" Well, not any more they don't. Playing the Skeletor role is Nintendo and they have knocked Mattell for six by becoming the number one toys and games company according to a report from companiesandmarkets.com (If you want to read the report, don't bother unless you have enough spare cash to stump up the £6,345 fee for seeing it). Games consoles have been a fantastic addition to home entertainment, but when I think about the act of playing video games, I'm still transported 20-odd years ago to the local arcade, stuffing 10p after 10p into the hungry mouths of the bleeping, flashing, exploding arcade machines. It is for this reason that I find the prospect of the Game Time 440 MultiGame Arcade Machine so exciting.
