Samsung's PS51D6900 3D TV has been getting some very positive publicity since its launch, so we decided to grab one for ourselves to give it the once over.

Samsung released the UE40C7000 - the UK's very first 3D TV - to great fanfare at the beginning of the year - 2010 was supposed to be the year that 3D TV thrust itself into the spotlight, with manufacturers going all out to ensure they weren't being left behind.

Samsung's "Series 8" range of LED TVs have been creating quite a stir on consumer forums since their release in the summer, however, an initially high price point may have kept this 40" slim-line out of reach from a substantial sector of the buying public. There is good news, though; the price seems to be dropping slightly and with retailers conscious of the need to attract custom at the start of the year, this could be a good time to take advantage and pick up one of Samsung's flagship models, the UE40B8000 LED TV.
