Located in the centre of the shredder head the Safety Lock Mechanism also features as an emergency shut off simply pull the lock back and the shredder shuts down instantly. The P-48C also features a thermal overload protector which stops the shredder temporarily when it senses it is getting too hot. Once activated the shredder will shut down and a red light will advise you that this safety protector has activated. As well as shredding huge quantities of paper the Cutting blades of the P-48C can also shred staples credit cards and paperclips with ease. Identity Fraud is on the increase.
