If you're a football fan and have yet to throw yourself  into the world of Digital Audio Broadcasting radio then you could be missing out. We've all been there - your team is featured on 5Live, Talksport, or if you support teams in the lower reaches, your local radio station, and you really want to listen in. You pick up and turn on your transistor radio, click the setting to receive Medium Wave, steer the dial between obscure French jazz stations and police broadcasts only to find reception so bad it could be transmitted from Venus. Well, DAB radio will change this.

The recent news that UK programmers have been released from a ban on product placement in their shows means that they will be able to generate extra revenue from advertising products whilst the on-screen action is taking place. So watch out for any new programmes - drama, reality TV or game show to include what can sometimes be excessively shameless plugs for product.

The long-awaited sequel to cult movie classic Tron may still be several months away from its release in December, but we're already seeing a huge amount of related merchandise being released - from clothing to PC peripherals and remote controlled vehicles to music stations.....
