When Garmin released their Nuvi 1490 T Sat-Nav during the summer of last year, it was regarded as an excellent, multi-functional GPS device which, at around £220, also added good value and great features. A year down the line, Sat-Nav technology has moved on a little, but the 1490 T's price has fallen dramatically.

Now available from around £154.99, we thought we would return to the Garmin Nuvi 1490 T and see if it had some bargain potential.....What's In The Box?Open up your new Garmin 1490 T and you will be greeted with the device itself, pre-loaded with UK and European maps and the Sat-Nav holder with suction cap on the back for sticking it to your car window (Mrs R's forehead works equally well, I have found). The all-important power cable is included alongside a quick start guide, TMC traffic antenna and suction caps, whilst there is also a USB cable and dashboard mount disc thrown in for good measure.
