First the 360, then the PS3 and now the Wii if the rumours are to be believed. As the console price wars heat up, it was inevitable that the Wii would be getting a reprice - and it's coming this October. You'll then be able to pick one up for about £150, which by our reckoning is a bit of a bargain.

Ooooohhh! The gloves are off....Nintendo's big cheese Reggie Fils-Aime has had a wee pop at Sony's new handheld, the PSPGo, telling the Washington Post that he was unsure of who, or what the console is actually for, saying that there is a "fundamental concept problem" with the gadget. Fils-Aime also slapped a ruler around the back of Apple's legs, stating that he wasn't too bothered about the new concept of the iPhone as a games device and has total faith in the Nintendo handheld, the DS, to firmly beat off the competition over the Christmas period.

It hasn't been long since the latest incarnation of Nintendo's extremely popular handheld console hit the UK, but already there's word on the streets that a new version is imminent - on Japanese soil, at least.

Nintendo's best-selling handheld console, the DSi looks like it will be getting a facelift soon. Later in November our Japanese cousins will be the first to experience the new-style, newly-named DSi LL, which will now feature a larger, 4.2" display and a bigger stylus pen.

There's a few elbows flying around technology companies at the moment in the rush to get video rights for their various gadgets. BBC iPlayer has been available on the Wii for 18 months or so, but Nintendo have cemented their relationship by giving them their own channel on the console's very own Wii Shop.
