The Satio was released with quite a fanfare from Sony Ericsson and if you take their word for it, it’s obvious why. With a new operating system, a 12.1 megapixel camera and a host of new and improved features, Sony Ericsson are pinning their hopes on the Satio to become a genuine contender to the iPhone.

Retailing from around £225, this point and click camera isn't cheap, but is packed with features, looks stylish and sophisticated and, most importantly, takes some very good photos.

Sony Ericsson have announced their new installment in their latest line of Satio mobile phones. Following on from last year's release of the Xperia, the Vivaz smartphone will feature HD video recording, an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and face and smile detection, TV output, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and radio.
